Pass Your Basic Training Physical Fitness Test
If you’re joining the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard, the physical fitness requirements are all pretty much the same. In order to graduate from basic training, you’ll have to pass a three-event physical performance test called the Basic Training Physical Fitness Test or PFT. This test consists of pushups, sit-ups, and a run. The amount of time you have to do your pushups and sit-ups and the length of the run will vary depending on which branch of the military you’re joining.
